In the middle of the Placeta des Pla, there is an old-walled sink with a water spout. The spring itself is a small cast iron column, ornamented with moulded reliefs and acanthus leaves, right in the centre of the sink. At the end, there are four water fountains. Although today it’s used as an ornamental, long ago it was used to water the cattle that went to work in the Tramuntana and Mistral possessions of the municipality (Son Simonet, Son Dameto, Son Cabaspre, etc.). In addition to these possessions, the cattle found here a great reward after hard work.
