It was a winter where the esporlerins were very alert with the theme of the bubotas! Some said they were souls in pain, while others claimed they were people in disguise. The point is that one winter evening, a group of brave young people who were returning to Vila Nova, saw a shadow that was thrown into the torrent. The most lively one stood on the wall of the stream and said: now I'm going to urinate on the bubota, and it will never come back to town again! And so it did! But the next day, while that brave young man recounted the feat in the town bar and everyone listened with eyes wide open, the Civil Guard arrested him. But why? Well, for urinating neither more nor less than on a guard while chasing who was playing bubota!
