In the middle of the Plaza del Jardín, until not many years ago, there was a little chapel. Inside, a very old painting with the image of Jesus crucified was kept with great zeal. They say that this cloth appeared wrapped in a tube in a "claper" next to the stream, not far from where the square is today. As these lands belonged to Son Tries, the lords took the painting to their houses, but... the next day it returned to the same place where they had found it. So they decided to build a chapel to store that miraculous cloth. Since then, many esporlerins come to pray before that image, hoping for a miracle. And miracles, they say he did many!
